About The Project
A Maryland homeowner reached out to TriState Barn Builders looking to create a barn with upstairs living quarters on their newly-purchased Virginia property. We built the barn, for their personal horses, from a unique poured concrete foundation with a stick frame, stucco siding, and a hip roof with shingles. The interior details feature extensive custom work and our elaborate craftsmanship, including sliding tongue and groove, Dutch and aluminum doors, European style stall fronts, stained concrete flooring, and painted dry walls. Additionally, we furnished the space with a lounge featuring intricate tile flooring and an L-shaped porch with a tongue and groove ceiling with lighting. The second-level apartment also features many exquisite details including custom walls, trim work, and hardwood floors, all done to the owners’ specifications.
